About

I'm a young radio producer based in Melbourne. I've worked in community radio for 10 years as well as spending a bit of time at tbe ABC. The majority of my work has been broadcast on Panorama

In recent times I've started to send stories to The Wire

This blog is a space for me to discuss and analyze the stories I produce as well as looking at what others are doing around the industry.

Love is Love

Yesterday around Australia thousands of people took to the streets to show their support for Gay and Lesbian people having the right to marry.

In Melbourne it was an amazing scene as a huge crowd formed on the lawn outside the state library. A few of my beliefs about the Gay and Lesbian scene were proven… firstly that there is no ‘type’ of Gay or Lesbian person, it takes all kinds and secondly, that the general consensus amongst people as whole these days is that love is love regardless of who is in love with whom.

Tomorrow on The Wire Tamzin Byrne and I will be looking at what happened at the Melbourne rally and what it all means.
