About

I'm a young radio producer based in Melbourne. I've worked in community radio for 10 years as well as spending a bit of time at tbe ABC. The majority of my work has been broadcast on Panorama

In recent times I've started to send stories to The Wire

This blog is a space for me to discuss and analyze the stories I produce as well as looking at what others are doing around the industry.

My next project

Over the next few days before I head back to Melbourne I want to put together a radio piece. The concept is this, I want to find a family of summer holiday tourists here in Tathra that have been coming here for years, maybe even generations.

Lets open this can of worms, ask the question, how does it feel to be ‘a local’ in a town where you aren’t actually a local? You know the place real well, you even have friends who you catch up with here, they are campers too, your kids have grown up coming here every year and now they bring their kiids here. So, what does it mean to be a local and do you have to have your home address in the town to get that status? Thoughts? Comments? Suggestions?
